
Bower Hill Fire Chief Ron Cramer died of complications from cancer on
April 29, 2004. Chief Cramer's funeral was held on May 4, 2004. The
funeral procession from Bogan-Wolf Funeral Home in Bridgeville to Mount
Lebanon Cemetary in Mt. Lebanon passed the Bower Hill fire station. The
Chief 255 vehicle and Chief Cramer's gear were displayed in front of
the station.

Bower Hill Engine 255-3 served as the caisson. Bower Hill firefighters
served as pallbearers.

Firefighters from Bower Hill provided an honor guard with the symbols
of the chief's office.

Firefighters from throughout the South Hills offered a salute to Chief
Cramer as he was carried to the grave site. A military detachment
provided military honors to the Vietnam War Veteran.

The Rev. John Yohe, who is himself a former Bower Hill Fire Chief,
conducted the graveside service.

presented to his family.
