This is the oldest known picture of the Bower Hill VFD, from the Autumn of 1924. The newly-acquired hose wagon is in front of the newly-acquired fire station on Montgomery Avenue. The fire hose has yet to be placed on the hose wagon. At this date, it may not have been delivered yet. The axe, spanner and nozzle  may well be the total firefighting assets of the department.
