The replacement for the 2000 command vehicle is the 2007 model of the same vehicle. Like its predecessor, it is designed help the chief or ranking chief officer set up command operations early in an incident. It is assigned to the chief, or in his absence, the ranking chief officer.


The vehicle carries command status boards, hazardous materials infomation guides, and other useful command materials, as well as personal protective gear and communications equipment.



Like its predecessor, the vehicle is minimally marked. It has no fixed designation, but assumes the call sign of the officer operating it. Since it is intended to be used primarily by the chief, it carries those graphics.


It can also be used as an additional Squad vehicle for fire schools and meetings, and for personnel transportation at emergency scenes, particularly those spread out over a wide area.
