The Scott Township EMS call volume continued to increase in 2008, and with the impending opening of Providence Point indicating that the trend would continue, Bower Hill and Glendale decided to jointly purchase an additional back-up ambulance for the service.  A unit very similar to those already operated by STEMS was found for sale at a reasonable price.


This unit does not have the sliding side door of the 2006 ambulances, but the exterior design is very similar.



The interior design is slightly different as well, with a "CPR seat" on the street side, but in general, the units can be similarly configured so that equipment is all in familiar locations. 


Like the 2006 ambulances, the exterior compartmentation is adequate and relatively spacious for the size of the vehicle. Though it's considered to be a "mini-mod,"  the vehicle looks larger than it is. The smaller size and lighter weight gives it a superior power-to-weight ratio and requires less repair of suspension parts and brakes.
