Bower Hill VFD Apparatus
255 Engine 1 is a 1998 Pierce Dash 2000 Triple Combination Pumper. It is configured to be the first-out engine for responses to motor vehicle collisions, motor vehicle fires, rescue incidents, electrical and water hazards, hazardous materials incidents and other non-fire incidents, and as a support piece for fire incidents.
255 Engine 2 is a 2013 Pierce Triple Combination Pumper. It is equipped with a CAFS (Compressed Air Foam System) and is the first-out engine for residential structure fires.
255 Engine 3 is a 2008 Sutphen Triple Combination Pumper. It is the first-out unit for commercial structure fires. It carries a foam system, a 15 Kilowatt generator and a light tower.
255 Squad is a 2005 Ford F350 XLT Super Duty four-wheel drive, crew-cab pickup with utility boxes and a roll-out bed. It is used to transport personnel safely to scenes and training details and carries safety and accountability equipment for use at fire scenes for firefighter safety, including an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and first aid equipment.
255 Command is a 2013 Ford Police Interceptor Utility. It is equipped with command and communications equipment, and is used as a mobile command post and for fire investigation support. This vehicle is assigned to the Fire Chief for department use. In the Chief's absence, it is assigned to the next ranking line officer.
